Here is a view of Darling Harbor from our hotel room. It was gorgeous.

We took a couple of our friends to lunch.

Shule and I crashed Spencer's party with America First. We had dinner at a restaurant in Georgetown called "1789," where the food was very fancy and very expensive. We know how to order when someone else is paying!

Along came a singing group from George Washington University. They were amazing.

Met up with Orrin Hatch in the airport. He lamented that he lost his WSU tie, and I promised to get another one for him. Yak, yak, yak about Pittsburgh. I'm coming after you, Orrin, and I want something for WSU! :)

Here is what the LDS Ogden temple looks like now. I always thought it resembled a spaceship. It is the building on the left.

Just when I think maybe I will scrape by without some giant hand coming down from the sky and squashing me like a bug, I find out that I just don't know the many ways in which I could sin. Now, apparently, I am not supposed to be texting in church!

Hey! I can listen and text at the same time! I'm not driving and texting--of course that is against the law. And, usually I'm texting my friends about something that is said in church, which is spreading the word! There is no end to the ways I can sin!

I just hope that all this clears out because I am headed there on Sunday through Tuesday of next week.

Here is some boat regata at the lake near the town where Grandpa is working.

The conversation went like this:

Me: Come here baby and let me hug you.
Reed: Not baby! I Reedie!
Me: You're not the baby????
Reed: No.
Me: (pointing to Jeff) Your daddy is MY baby.
Reed: Huh?
Me: Yes, Daddy is my baby.
Reed: Daddy-baby????
Me: Yes, Daddy-baby.
Reed: Ha ha ha--Daddy-baby!
Me: Come here Reedie baby and let me hug you.
Reed: Okay.

Kristin made the football cookies. Mark made quiche and the most fabulous angel food cake on the planet! This was my bedtime snack: a Diet Coke and about 1/2 of the angel food cake! Yummmmm.

I just pretended I was Extreme Home Makeover. Hey, I gotta do something while Grandpa is gone to Australia, right? What shall I do next? Hmmmmmmmm.

Last night was the Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Weber State University had 4 tables.

Mike went to get a glass of wine and I switched desserts so I had the chocolate and he got the cheesecake. I thought I'd get away with it, but when he came back he noticed. He said, "Hey, who switched desserts?" I immediately pointed to Gail who was sitting on Mike's other side. She didn't even deny it. She offered her chocolate one, but he ate the cheesecake anyway.
