Fun on Saturday

We went to Gateway to Build A Bear and picked out 2 teddy bears. We had to wait in line to get them stuffed.

The Build A Bear lady helped us stuff our new teddy bears.

We kissed their hearts and she tied them up.

At the teddy bear bath tub station the bears had a super shot of air for a bath to fluff them up.

We picked out teddy bear clothes. Notice Connor's bear is Buzz Lightyear, straight from Toy Story!

Because it was a really hot day, we had to run through the Gateway fountain.

We ended up at California Pizza Kitchen. What a perfect day with my little darlings.

Connor and Jill had a sleepover. Here we are for the obligatory dinner at you-know-where. Then, driving in the car the conversation went like this:

Connor: Hey, Jill, I remember when you had a puppy.
Jill: Yes. That was Baxter. He had to go away because he was too crazy.
Connor: Your dog was crazy?
Jill: Yes. He was too crazy.
Connor: I'll tell you what would be crazy. If a girl cat married a boy dog. That would be crazy.
Grandma: Hey. Ummmmm, look at that stoplight. I think it is turning red! What do you think?

I had no idea where that conversation would go next and I figured I didn't want to know.

Grandpa Off to Australia Again

Here goes Grandpa off again to Australia, this time for 5 weeks. This is what I have to say: Let the redecorating begin. It is better to do this when he isn't around. He thinks that if you want a picture over the sofa, you just go to Walmart and get something that looks like a landscape, and pound a big nail in the wall. There. We have not actually discussed this, but I suspect he would be perfectly fine with a black velvet oil painting of Elvis. Do you want Grandpa weighing in on your decorating? Meanwhile, I am getting bids.
