Pain In The Neck

This is a pain in the neck! It started a couple of weeks ago. As pains go, this was pretty bad. On a scale of one to ten, I was hitting an eight, so off to the doctor. An MRI showed damage in C3 and C4, with resulting bone growth pressing on the spinal column and causing swelling, hence the pain. Now I am on Prednisone, which has its own challenges. It is a wicked drug!!!! I have until Wednesday and then if it isn't better, I will have to see a neurosurgeon. Yikes! I'm operating on a wing and a prayer!

This little picture shows inflamation at C3 so this is sort of what it looks like.

  1. Chris, I really can relate. When I came home from vacation late Sunday,I felt great. By Tuesday morning, I had a complete relapse and had to have PT every day this week at work. I am on Mobic, which I hate taking because of the side effects. It is terribly discouraging to have such a profound relapse!! Please keep me updated about what is going on with you.
